February progress post

Hi WIP-pers! Hopefully you've had time to sign up for Crack the WIP 2026 (if not, the sign up post is over here). Now that we're one month into 2026, let us know how your projects are going! Have you decided on your WIP yet? Added some words or work to it? Done some daydreaming about it? Been finishing up some other work in preparation for sitting down with your WIP?

Feel free to share a short/small snippet if you like! Also, feel free to encourage people in what they're working on too. (If someone is venting/complaining about their WIP, though, please don't assume they want advice unless they explicitly ask for some!)

I sneezed, and January disappeared. No progress to report as of yet unless you count contemplating my prewriting (... again).

Yep, that is a mood. Contemplation counts, though! Hope your February goes well!

I know what I'm going to be tackling, but used January to finish a couple of other works which turned out longer than I expected. However, as I always intended to begin this month, that's okay.

January was terrible in terms of progress. Quite literally none. But just a few days ago I bought a new notebook and started writing there! Been writing for 15 minutes or so whenever I get the time. Hopefully will be able to finish one fic this month at this pace!

My January was also a dead zone, but February is going well. I'm glad the new notebook and hand-writing is working! Hope you continue making progress and finish some fics!

Zero progress in January, but once I get over the hurdle of an exchange deadline tomorrow, I'm hoping I can shift my full focus to making progress on 1) deciding which of 3 WIPs to focus on and 2) writing!!

I had to finish two Festivids vids first. Now I have opened up my IWTV project and looked at it... haven't added anything to it yet.

Congrats on finishing the Festivids projects! :) Opening up an old project and looking over it again is a good start. Good luck with the IWTV vid!
